MADISON, AL – The Rocket City Trash Pandas will welcome the community to Toyota Field for two special events this weekend, hosting a September 11 Memorial Stair Climb on Friday morning and the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team’s matchup against AUSA Redstone-Huntsville on Saturday evening.
On Friday, September 11, Toyota Field will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks with a Memorial Stair Climb honoring those who lost their lives. Gates open at 8:00 am, with a ceremony beginning at 8:30 am and the climb to follow. Participants will climb the equivalent of the World Trade Center’s 110 stories in remembrance of the victims. The weekend continues on Saturday, September 12, at 6:35 pm, when the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team takes the field against AUSA Redstone-Huntsville. Fans will also have opportunities to take home jerseys featured during the game through AUSA’s jersey raffle and auction.

Organized by the Young Professionals of the Association of the United States Army’s Redstone-Huntsville Chapter, the event will benefit the USA Patriots Kids Camp, a free, weeklong program for children with limb differences that combines adaptive sports, mentorship, and confidence-building activities.
