MADISON, AL – The Rocket City Trash Pandas are excited to unveil their 2027 schedule, marking the club’s seventh season at Toyota Field. For the second consecutive year, the Trash Pandas will open the season at home, welcoming the Atlanta Braves affiliate Columbus Clingstones for a three-game opening homestand from Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 4.
The 138-game regular season runs from April 2 through Sunday, September 12, featuring 69 home games at Toyota Field and 69 road games against the other seven Southern League clubs.
Following the opening homestand, Rocket City’s first six-game home series will take place against the Montgomery Biscuits from April 13-18. The schedule features three Education Day games: April 14 against Montgomery, April 28 against Chattanooga and an Education Day doubleheader against the Birmingham Barons on May 5.
The Trash Pandas’ longest homestand will feature 12 games from April 27 through May 8 against Chattanooga and Birmingham, including the May 5 doubleheader. The homestand will conclude Saturday, May 8, with no game scheduled for Sunday, May 9, providing an additional day to prepare Toyota Field for the SEC Softball Tournament.
Rocket City will also be home for Memorial Day weekend as part of a six-game series against Chattanooga from May 25-30. The first half of the Southern League season will conclude with Rocket City’s 69th game on Sunday, June 20, at Chattanooga. The regular season concludes at Toyota Field with a six-game series against the Knoxville Smokies from September 7-12.
Rocket City’s two-week road trip from May 11-23, featuring six-game series at Biloxi and Montgomery, will coincide with Toyota Field hosting the SEC Softball Tournament from May 11-15. The tournament will bring SEC softball to a neutral site for the first time in more than two decades and begin a four-year run for the event at Toyota Field.
