HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Express tallied the first run in the second after RF Trevor Hauver recorded an RBI single.

LF Aaron Zavala went after the first pitch he saw in the top of the fourth and launched a solo home run, giving Round Rock a 2-0 lead.

El Paso got on the board in the bottom of the frame after a double by DH Will Wagner, scoring C Ethan Salas, who singled earlier in the inning. Round Rock held a one-run edge entering the fifth.

LF Carlos Rodríguez evened the score at two with a solo shot in the sixth.

In the seventh, the Express regained the lead after an RBI single from 1B Alejandro Osuna, but the lead quickly evaporated after two-run home runs from 3B Clay Dungan and RF Dustin Harris in the bottom half of the inning. Round Rock trailed 6-3 with two innings to play.

The Express struck for two runs in the top of the ninth courtesy of a solo home run from SS Keyber Rodriguez and an RBI double from Osuna, but left the tying run at second base as they fall 6-5 on Thursday night.
