
HOW IT HAPPENED:
El Paso took a 1-0 lead in the first on a solo homer for RF Nick Solak. In the second, 3B Jonah Bride singled to drive in two runs and Round Rock had their first lead of the night at 2-1.
The E-Train poured on a third run when RF Aaron Zavala doubled to score SS Cam Cauley in the third inning. The Chihuahuas took back the lead when CF Dustin Harris tripled with the bases load and the home team held a 4-3 advantage.
Round Rock kept battling back. In the fifth, 1B John Taylor delivered the first of his three RBIs on the night. His double tied the game at four. In the sixth inning, PH Diego Castillo collected a bases loaded walk as the Express took a 5-4 lead. El Paso tied the game at five in the seventh on an RBI single from Solak.
With the game tied at five, Taylor delivered with men on second and third base as his single scored two runs and the E-Train took back the lead at 7-5. Despite a sacrifice fly in the eighth for SS Clay Dungan of the Chihuahuas, El Paso did not score in the ninth and Round Rock held on for a 7-6 victory.

INF JOHN TAYLOR: finished the night going 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and a R… delivered the go-ahead 2 R single in the top of the 8th to push the Express ahead… tallied his 15th multi-RBI game of the season and his 3rd against ELP… is batting .333 (7-for-21) with 7 RBI, 5 BB and 5 R in 5 G this series.
RHP MICHEL OTAÑEZ: (1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 SO, 19 pitches, 15 strikes) closed the door on the El Paso offense to record the final 4 outs… picked up his 1st save of the season with the Express… recorded his 1st save since 8/17 vs SF when he pitched for OAK… threw a 101.4 MPH fastball to Ethan Salas in the top of the 9th for a foul ball… was T-3rd fastest pitch he has thrown this season… has thrown 59 balls this season 100.0+ MPH.
