
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. – This morning, Minor League Baseball announced the Player and Pitcher of the Month Awards for August.
OF Bo Davidson earned the honor for the Triple-A Pacific Coast League. He batted .323/.410/.636 and led the league in total bases (63) and RBI (28). He was second in doubles (10) and home runs (seven) and third in hits (32) and slugging percentage (.636) while finishing fourth in OPS (1.046).
After starting the month 0-for-15, he went 32-for-84 (.381) the rest of the month with nine multi-hit games in the last 21 games. He tied his career high with four hits on August 13 and August 16 at Las Vegas. Davidson, 24, was signed by San Francisco as a free agent out of Caldwell Tech Community College in Hudson, North Carolina, on July 25, 2023.
Bo was named the PCL Player of the Week for August 10-16 when he batted .560 (14-for-25) with three doubles, four home runs, 12 RBI, two walks, and a 1.767 OPS. He led all of Triple-A that week in batting average (min. 15 AB), as well as hits and total bases (29), and was second in home runs and RBI.
This marks the third Player/Pitcher of the Month Award winner for Sacramento this season, following Carson Whisenhunt (May) and Turner Hill (July).
