WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. – This morning, Minor League Baseball announced the league awards and All-Star teams for the Triple-A Pacific Coast League and International League.
RHP Carson Seymour was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year, as well as an All-Star starting pitcher.
Seymour made 22 appearances, including nine starts, for Sacramento this season, compiling a 5-2 record and a 3.79 ERA (76.0 IP, 32 ER). He allowed six home runs and 31 walks while recording 70 strikeouts and a .241 opponent batting average.
LHP Carson Whisenhunt was also named an All-Star starting pitcher.
Whisenhunt made 16 starts as well as one relief appearance and posted a 6-4 record with a 4.15 ERA (82.1 IP, 38 ER). He surrendered four home runs and 38 walks while striking out 90 and limiting opponents to a .250 batting average.
Despite being recalled to San Francisco in mid-July, Whisenhunt finished the season tied for 10th in strikeouts.
This marks the second consecutive All-Star selection for both Seymour and Whisenhunt, who were also named starting pitchers on the Triple-A PCL All-Star team in 2025.
Sacramento has now produced the PCL Pitcher of the Year in consecutive seasons, following Whisenhunt’s selection in 2026.
