Salem Professional Baseball kick off 2027 season at home on April 2nd
SALEM, Va. – The Salem RidgeYaks have released their 2027 home schedule, complete with 66 games at Salem Memorial Ballpark during the 2027 season, the 19th season as a Boston Red Sox affiliate.
The RidgeYaks home opener at Carilion Clinic Field is set for Friday, April 2 against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Houston Astros). The RidgeYaks open against the Woodpeckers in a 3-game series from April 2-4. A total of 10 homestands make up the home slate in Virginia’s Championship City, with a 9-game series (across 10 days) from July 16-25 and a 12-game series (across 13 days) from June 15-27. Salem Memorial Ballpark hosts 36 weekend games in 2027.
“We are excited to release our 2027 home schedule, as we gear up for an exciting finish to our 2026 season here in Salem,” said General Manager, Allen Lawrence. "We appreciate everyone's support during the inaugural Salem RidgeYaks season and we look forward to an even more exciting 2027 season."
The Battle of 460 is set as the RidgeYaks host the Hill City Howlers (Cleveland Guardians), a regional rival, for a 6-game series (June 15-20).
Other opponents returning to Salem include Fredericksburg Nationals (Washington Nationals), Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (Chicago White Sox), Delmarva Shorebirds (Baltimore Orioles), Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Chicago Cubs), Hickory Crawdads (Texas Rangers), and Wilson Warbirds (Milwaukee Brewers),

The Salem RidgeYaks are the Single-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and call Carilion Clinic Field in Salem, Virginia home.
