SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (October 6, 2026) - Minor League Baseball announced today that Salt Lake Bees visiting clubhouse manager Dante Castro has been named the 2026 Visiting Clubhouse Manager of the Year.
The award recognizes the clubhouse managers across Minor League Baseball who provide exceptional service and support to visiting teams throughout the season. Winners were selected based on surveys of league managers, players and executives conducted throughout the 2026 season.
“I am blessed and grateful to work for the Salt Lake Bees. To be in this amazing situation and get to do what I love, which is working in baseball,” Castro said. “It’s an honor to win this award.”
Before beginning his career in baseball, Castro worked for the Salt Lake City Stars basketball organization. His experience in professional sports ultimately led him back to baseball, where he has built a career centered around serving players, coaches and visiting teams.
For Castro, the honor caps an eight-season career with the Bees organization. He first joined the Bees in 2016 as a clubhouse attendant and has been a fixture around the clubhouse ever since, spending time with the organization in 2016, 2018 and from 2021 through the present.
The award marks back-to-back seasons a Salt Lake Bees clubhouse attendant has been recognized after Chris Simonsen was named Pacific Coast League Home Clubhouse Manager of the Year in 2025.
