A walk and single with one out in the second set the stage for Ben Gobbel. Tonight’s nine-hole hitter unloaded to left field, expanding the margin for the Bees at 4-0. Reno fought back in the third, using three walks and two singles to cut the deficit to 4-3.
Moore began the fourth inning with another extra-base hit, this time a double into Jackie’s Corner in left center. He later pushed the Bees’ lead to 5-3, scoring on Pablo Reyes’ sacrifice fly. The Salt Lake offense was hard at work one inning later, with a four-run fifth. Gobbel doubled in two runs to notch five RBI tonight, while Pablo Reyes drove in another pair for a 9-3 score.
Reno tallied an unearned run in the sixth and loaded the bases with two outs. The call to the bullpen, Alex Faedo, paid off as a strikeout ended the threat.
Salt Lake got the run back courtesy of a Moore leadoff blast to start the seventh. The Tennessee alum’s 11th of the year surged out onto the right field berm to put the hosts ahead 10-4.
The floodgates finally opened for the Bees in the eighth, as they punctuated the offensive output with seven runs in the frame. Four hits, four walks, a hit batsman and an error were the weapons for the onslaught. When the dust settled, 13 Bees came to the plate as Salt Lake held a 17-4 advantage. Jared Southard entered from the arm barn for the ninth, tidying up the Tuesday night win and the Bees’ fourth straight victory.

- The Bees recorded their second-highest run total of the season, behind only an 18-run performance against Sacramento on May 1. This marks the first time Salt Lake scored 17 runs in a game since July 30, 2024, versus Tacoma. Salt Lake scored its most runs ever against the Reno Aces surpassing its 16 run total at Reno on July 27, 2022.
- Salt Lake's 13-run win marked their most decisive victory since a 15-1 win over Albuquerque on April 1 of last year. Prior to tonight, the Bees' largest winning margin of the current season was a 12-run defeat of Albuquerque on June 4.
- Defensively, the Bees tallied their third straight game with at least one error. Salt Lake leads the PCL in the category on the year with 120. The next closest is El Paso who’s committed 103 on the campaign.
