FRISCO (Aug. 13, 2026) — With three two-run homers in the second, the San Antonio Missions secured their second win of the series 8-6 over the Frisco RoughRiders on Thursday night at Riders Field.
Frisco jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first, but only scored two runs for the duration of the game. RBI doubles from Dylan Dreiling and Arturo Disla made it 2-0. Rafe Perich then launched a two-run homer to make it a four-run frame.
However, the Missions responded immediately with three homers of their own. Ryan Jackson went deep for the third time this season, before Jack Costello tied the game with his first Double-A homer. Carson Tucker then provided a two-run blast, putting San Antonio ahead. It marked the third time this year and the first since May 12 that the Missions had three home runs in an inning.
Scoring slowed down the rest of the way. The Missions made it 7-4 in the fourth, when Romeo Sanabria reached on an error that allowed Anthony Vilar to score.
Frisco made it 7-5 in the sixth on Malcolm Moore’s RBI double. They threatened to draw closer, but couldn’t get any closer than the two-run deficit.
After the Missions added a run in the ninth, Dylan Dreiling homered for the RoughRiders in the bottom half to cut the deficit to 8-6. However, Josh Mallitz pitched the final 2.1 innings for the Missions, shutting the door after the homer. The right-hander earned his sixth save and struck out four.
San Antonio is now just two games behind first-place Amarillo with 27 games to play.
