WORCESTER, MA (August 27, 2026) – The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders fell 7-1 to the Worcester Red Sox Thursday night. The Boston rehabbing trio of Roman Anthony, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, and Trevor Story combined for five hits to pace the home team.

Worcester starting the scoring in the first frame. Anthony and Kiner-Falefa singed to reach and Story followed it up with a sacrifice fly. Back-to-back doubles drove in two more runs for a 3-0 score.
The RailRiders bounced back in the second. J.C. Escarra led off with a base hit and Max Schuemann roped an RBI double to get on the board.
Adam Kloffenstein (L, 3-10) settled in to keep the Red Sox off the board for the next four innings. Even though SWB had baserunners, they couldn't produce an offensive push.
The WooSox ran away with it in the sixth after plating four runs on four consecutive hits. Anthony had his second hit of the day to cap the scoring 7-1.
Boston's #16 prospect Blake Wehunt earned the win, allowing the sole run in five frames. Osvaldo Berrios and Seth Martinez combined to finish the game. RailRiders' Travis MacGregor pitched two scoreless innings of his own.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre continues their series against Worcester with a 6:05 PM first pitch on Friday night. SWB has Alexander Cornielle as their starter and the Red Sox will send Boston's #9 prospect John Holobetz to the mound.
