Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, have selected Bettianne Meeker as the team’s 2026 recipient of Major League Baseball’s HOME RUN Service Award.

HOME RUN is a set of service values encouraged by MLB to provide a consistent fan experience. Teams are then able to recognize their valued employees that showcase these ideals.

Home Run Service values include:

  • HELLO: Ensure Fans Feel Seen & Welcomed
  • OWNERSHIP: Be Informed & Take Initiative
  • MAINTAIN: Create & Uphold an Inclusive & Safe Environment
  • ELEVATE: Connect with Fans & Provide an Unforgettable Experience
  • RECOGNIZE: Identify the fan’s issue by actively listening to their concern.
  • UNDERSTAND & RESOLVE: Empathize with the fan and provide a solution.
  • NOTIFY: Keep a record of the interaction and share with supervisor

Bettianne was honored on the field during the game at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday, July 10.

Bettianne began her journey with the Patriots in 2002 and has worked in nearly every role on the event staff. For more than a decade, she has served as an Event Staff Supervisor and has become a familiar and welcoming presence—whether greeting fans at the third base gate as the ballpark opens or assisting guests on the mid-concourse throughout the game.

Bettianne is beloved by both Patriots fans and her fellow staff members, and she truly embodies the spirit of HOME RUN Service.
