Bridgewater, New Jersey - The Somerset Patriots will rebrand one more time this season as the Somerset Semiquincentennials to celebrate America’s 250th on Revolutionary Revelry Night at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday, August 15. The Semiquincentennials will take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) at 6:35 pm.
The Patriots have partnered with the Heritage Trail Association, along with other Revolutionary War groups.
Outside the ballpark will be an encampment featuring Mott’s Artillery canon crew, colonial cooking, soldiers from the 2nd New Jersey Regiment, Von Prueshenk's Jaeger Corps and more.
Music performed by fife and drummers will take place in front of the ballpark and during the pre-game ceremonies.
Once inside the ballpark, fans will be able to visit tables on the main concourse and discover more about local historic sites, join a group, as well as take photos with the re-enactors. Fans will also be able to sign their own copy of the Declaration of Independence.
Concourse displays include the Sons of the Revolution Color Guard, Somerset County Culture and Heritage, Middlesex County History Department and more.
Celebrate our country's founding and those that fought for independence.
Following the game, there will be a postgame fireworks show presented by Aspen Dental and the firing of a Revolutionary War cannon.
