Teddy Bear Drive At The Ballpark On September 9

6:10 PM UTC

Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, will host a teddy bear drive at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday, September 9 as part of National Teddy Bear Day. The Patriots will take on the Hartford Yard Goats (Colorado Rockies) at 6:35 pm.

The Patriots are requesting a donation of new or very lightly used teddy bears be brought to the ballpark.  Law enforcement personnel and other first responders often have teddy bears with them in the event a critical situation involves children. The teddy bears help calm younger kids down during these stressful times.

From 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Patriots players will be located by the main gate to accept donations and meet fans for pictures and autographs. The drive will continue throughout the day and into the game that night.

Fans who bring a teddy bear to the September 9 event will receive a voucher good for two tickets to any Patriots home game in April or May of 2027

Teddy bears collected during the drive will be accepted by the New Jersey State PBA to distribute to children when needed.
