Antonio Senzatela Wins World Series with Brewers

Antonio Senzatela finished the 2025 season with a 4-15 record for the 119-loss Colorado Rockies. Just one year later, he's on top of the baseball world.

The former Spokane Indians pitcher was part of a talented Milwaukee squad that held off the Tampa Bay Rays in five games, helping the Brewers bring home their first World Series title in franchise history. Senzatela made two appearances in the Fall Classic, tossing a pair of scoreless innings in Milwaukee's Game 3 win and recording two outs in Game 4. Overall, the right-hander made four appearances during the Brew Crew's playoff run, finishing with a perfect 0.00 ERA in 4.1 IP.

After struggling in Colorado's rotation in 2025, Senzatela shifted to the bullpen to open this season and thrived in his new role. The 31-year-old posted a 9-2 record and 3.61 ERA in 34 relief appearances with the Rockies before being acquired at the Trade Deadline by the Brewers for prospects Mark Manfredi and Juan Martinez. Senzatela made 23 more appearances down the stretch for Milwaukee, finishing the season with an 11-5 record, 4.05 ERA, and four saves in 73.1 innings.

Originally signed out of Venezuela as an international free agent by Colorado in 2011, Senzatela made his big league debut with the Rockies in 2017 and ranks eighth all time in franchise history with 145 starts.

The right-hander made a pair of rehab appearances with the Spokane Indians in 2024, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out five in 5.1 innings against the Vancouver Canadians and Hillsboro Hops.

Antonio Senzatela (along with Brewers teammates Jackson Chourio, William Contreras and Angel Zerpa) also accomplished a feat achieved by only two other players in baseball history: winning the World Baseball Classic and World Series in the same year. The only previous occurrence came in 2017, when Alex Bregman and Luke Gregerson captured both titles with Team USA and the Houston Astros.
