Spokane Indians players and front office staff had the incredible privilege of spending the morning of Thursday, July 24th, with patients at Shriners Children's Spokane as part of the Molina Healthcare Care-A-Van.
DORIS the Spokanasaurus, Nathan Blasick, Austin Emener, Bryson Hammer, Jacob Humphrey and Tom Sutaris surprised the patients and their families with Spokane Indians gear, tickets to a future game at Avista Stadium, and most importantly, laughter!
"The visit to Shriners was an incredible opportunity to get out into the community and visit with kids who have been through so much," said Indians manager Tom Sutaris. "I was so impressed with how much love was evident in Shriners; you could tell how much the staff cared for their patients. Our players gained some incredible perspective from the visit, and it felt great to provide some smiles and laughter for these courageous young people."
