SAN ANTONIO, TX - The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead thanks to a run in the first inning and five runs in the second en route to beating the San Antonio Missions, 9-2, on Thursday night at Wolff Stadium.
Dakota Harris headlined the second with a two-run home run, and Jesus Baez added a two-run double late in the frame.
Won-Bin Cho also singled home a run in the second inning, the first of four hits on the night for the Cardinals right fielder.
The runs proved plenty for a Cardinals pitching staff led by starter Liam Doyle. The left-hander allowed two runs over 4.1 innings with eight strikeouts.
Four Springfield relievers combined to allow just one hit over 4.2 scoreless innings to finish out the game.

NOTES:
• Andrew Schultz pitched 1.2 perfect innings with three strikeouts in his first appearance with Springfield since returning from Triple-A Memphis.
• Jack Gurevitch doubled in his last at-bat to record his first extra-base hit in Double-A.
