SPRINGFIELD, MO - Springfield Cardinals southpaw Liam Doyle fired six innings of one-run ball in 10-3 victory over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Thursday night. Six frames was a new long for Doyle in his professional career.

NOTES:
- Doyle's previous career-high was 5.2 innings. He struck out six and surrendered one run on two hits while walking four.
- Springfield slugged three home runs in the game, including the first Double-A homer for Tai Peete. Dakota Harris and Tre Richardson III also homered for the Birds.
- Deniel Ortiz and Rainiel Rodriguez both doubled in runs. Rodriguez reached base four times in the game.
- Jesús Báez ripped an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth 114.1 MPH off the bat.
- José Davila and Tanner Schultz each pitched a shutout inning apiece in relief.
