
SAN ANTONIO, TX - The Cardinals loaded the bases with nobody out in the ninth but failed to score in a 3-2 to loss to the San Antonio Missions on Saturday night at Nelson Wolff Stadium.
Daniel Eagen made his Cardinals organization debut on the mound and gave up a three-run home run in the first inning before settling in to complete six innings.
The three runs in the first were ultimately the only runs scored by San Antonio in the game.
Eagen allowed the three runs on three total hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
Rainiel Rodriguez picked up Springfield's first hit of the game with a double in the fourth inning and scored on a two-out single by Ryan Campos.
Josiah Ragsdale blasted a solo home run in the eighth to bring the Cards within one.

NOTES:
• Rodriguez doubled twice in the game and ranks second on the team with 12 doubles.
• Ragsdale's home run was his second of the week since joining the Cardinals and his 21st total on the season.
• Springfield has dropped 3 of 5 games in the series and will play Sunday night for a series split.
