JUPITER, Fla. (August 15, 2026) – The Jupiter Hammerheads defeated the St. Lucie Mets 3-1 on Saturday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium to secure a series victory.
For the second straight game the Hammerheads scored early and were stifled by the Mets bullpen. However, the Mets offense only mustered one run on a homer by Aiden Robbins.
Jupiter starter Dameivi Tineo pitched 6.0 innings of one-run ball to get the win. He scattered four hits, walked three and struck out five.
Engel Peralta pitched the seventh inning, Tristan Stevens tossed the eighth and Yohanfer Santana pitched the ninth to get the save in his Jupiter debut. Santana topped out at 100 mph and struck out the final two batters to end the game.
Jupiter got on the board in the second inning on a RBI double by Luis Cova off Mets starter Joel Lara. In the third inning with two outs, Jacob Lombard hit a 2-2 pitch from Lara for a two-run homer to increase the Hammerheads lead to 3-0.
Lara took the loss. He allowed three runs on three hits over 3.1 innings. He walked four, plunked two and struck out five while throwing 77 pitches.
Robbins, playing left field, robbed Luis Arana of a home run with a leaping catch at the wall to end the bottom of the fifth inning. Robbins then turned around and hit a leadoff home run to straight away center field in the sixth. It was the first pro home run for the Mets third round pick out of Texas.
Robbins had half the Mets hits. He went 3 for 4 with the homer and two singles.
