As they continue their sixth season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, the schedule for the 2027 Space Cowboys Pacific Coast League season has been announced. Sugar Land’s full schedule can be seen here.
After opening at home each of the last two seasons, the Space Cowboys will open their 2027 campaign on the road at Oklahoma City for a three-game series from March 26 – 28. Sugar Land then comes home to Constellation Field for their home opener on Tuesday, March 30 as they begin a six-game interleague series against the St. Paul Saints (Twins) of the International League.
Sugar Land will play a total of 12 home series in 2027 with all of them scheduled for the league’s Tuesday through Sunday format outside of a three-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners) out of the All-Star Break from Friday, July 16 to Sunday, July 18. The Space Cowboys schedule will again feature 150 games, with 75 games at home and 75 games on the road, running from March 26 to September 19.
The Space Cowboys opening six-game set against St. Paul is one of three interleague series for Sugar Land in 2027 and one of two that they will play at Constellation Field. They’ll travel to the Durham Bulls (Rays) for a second time in franchise history from August 24 – 29 and will host the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals) from June 29 – July 4 in a rematch of the 2024 Triple-A Championship. Sugar Land’s lone two-week homestand comes from May 25 – June 6 when they host the Albuquerque Isotopes (Rockies) for six-games before taking on the Sacramento River Cats (Giants).
Along with being at home on July 4, the Space Cowboys will also have home games on Armed Forces Day (May 15), Memorial Day Weekend (May 28 – 30), Juneteenth (June 19), Father’s Day (June 20) and Labor Day Weekend (September 3 – 5).
In their division, the Space Cowboys will host the El Paso Chihuahuas (Padres) and Isotopes twice, welcoming El Paso from April 13 – 18 and again from July 27 – August 1. Albuquerque comes to Constellation Field from April 27 – May 2 before returning for a six-game series from May 25 – 30. The Space Cowboys will only host the Round Rock Express (Rangers) once from May 11 – 16 and will also only play the Oklahoma City Comets (Dodgers) once at home to close out the regular season from September 14 – 19.
Each member of the Western Division of the Pacific Coast League will make one trip to Sugar Land, with the River Cats coming from June 1 – 6 and the Salt Lake Bees (Angels) playing at Constellation Field from June 15 – 20. Tacoma’s three-game series at Sugar Land out of the All-Star Break is the only time that the Mariners’ Triple-A affiliate comes to town from July 16 – 18, and the Reno Aces (Diamondbacks) will come to Constellation Field from August 17 – 22 before the Las Vegas Aviators (Athletics) visit Sugar Land from August 31 – September 5.
Game times for all 75 Space Cowboys home games will be announced at a later date.
