4:14 AM UTC

Trenton Brooks hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th to lift the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (34-15, 66-57) to a 4-3 victory over the Oklahoma City Comets (27-21, 68-54) on Friday night at Constellation Field.

RHP Michael Knorr tossed a perfect 10th inning, using just nine pitches with seven strikes to retire the Comets in order and set the stage for the Space Cowboys in the bottom half of the inning. With two outs, Cavan Biggio was intentionally walked to put two runners on before Brooks singled to center field, bringing home Jake Meyers for the winning run.

The Space Cowboys opened the scoring in the bottom of the second. Collin Price worked a leadoff walk before César Salazar was hit by a pitch to put two runners on. Braden Shewmake followed with a single to load the bases and Meyers delivered an RBI single to center field to bring home Price and give Sugar Land a 1-0 lead.

RHP Ronel Blanco kept the Comets scoreless through the first four innings, allowing just two hits while walking two and striking out five through four. Oklahoma City rallied in the fifth, using a double before back-to-back RBI hits from Noah Miller and Alex Freeland gave the Comets a 2-1 lead.

The Space Cowboys regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Price worked a two-out walk before stealing second to move into scoring position. Salazar then smashed a home run to left field to bring home Price and give Sugar Land a 3-2 lead.

RHP Christian Roa entered in the seventh and tossed a perfect inning to keep the Space Cowboys in front. Roa used only 11 pitches, seven for strikes, while striking out one.

Oklahoma City evened the game in the top of the eighth when James Tibbs III led off the inning with a solo home run, his third homer of the series, to make it a 3-3 game.

RHP Miguel Ullola worked out of a bases-loaded jam with one out in the ninth, inducing back-to-back fly outs to strand all three runners and send the game to extras tied at three.
