TACOMA, WA (June 4, 2026) - The Seattle Mariners announced on Wednesday that catcher Cal Raleigh will begin a Major League rehab assignment next week with High-A Everett on Sunday, June 7, and then transferred to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, June 9.

Raleigh, 29, was placed on Seattle's 10-Day Injured List on May 14 with a right oblique strain. The 2025 American League All-Star has played 51 career games with Tacoma from 2021-2022, hitting .319 with 23 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs and 40 RBI.

Drafted by Seattle in the third round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of Florida State, Raleigh led the Major Leagues with 60 home runs in the 2025 regular season, hitting the most home runs in a single season by a catcher, by a switch-hitter and by a Mariner. Raleigh also won the 2025 Home Run Derby, joining Ken Griffey Jr. as the only Mariners to win it.

The Rainiers return home for a six-game series against the Albuquerque Isotopes on Tuesday, June 9, with an 11:35 am first pitch.

Major League rehab assignment schedules are subject to change without notice.
