The Tulsa Drillers (Double-A Affiliate of the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers) will continue their longest home stand of the year with the second half of a 12-game stand at ONEOK Field. The Drillers will host the Amarillo Sod Poodles (Arizona Diamondbacks Affiliate) for a six-game series from Tuesday, August 18 through Sunday, August 23. It will mark the next-to-last home series of the regular season for the Drillers.
The first five games of the series will all begin at 7:00 p.m. The series finale on Sunday, August 23 will start at 12:05 p.m.
The set of games will feature a number of great promotions, highlighted by a trio of events over the weekend. August 21 will be a News On 6, K-Hits Friday Night Fireworks game. The next night, will be a NewsChannel 8 Grand Slam Saturday and Oklahoma City Thunder Night. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Drillers Basketball Jersey and the night will conclude with a postgame Fireworks Show.
August 23 will be a Family FUNday Sunday with the first 1,000 fans receiving Mr. Beast Jerseys. Kids, ages 14 and under, will eat for free and play in the QuikTrip Hornsby’s Hangout for free.
The series will open with $2 Tuesday on August 18. In addition to discounted tickets for this game, fans will be able to purchase hot dogs, popcorn, tacos, soft drinks and ice cream novelty items for just $2 each. Also, Mazzio’s Go Pizzas will be discounted by $2 each.
Wednesday, August 19 will be the final Bark in the Park and your last opportunity to let your dog enjoy a night at the ballpark. White Claw cans will also be on sale for just $3 per serving. After the game, you and your dog can go down on the field to run the bases one last time in 2026.
August 20 will be a Thirsty Thursday, but that is not all. The first 1,000 fans will receive Drillers Performance Shirts and it will be $1 hot dog night!
The series will mark Amarillo’s first and only visit to ONEOK Field this season. The two teams met in Amarillo in the first week of June with the Drillers winning five of the six meetings.
The Drillers are chasing Tulsa baseball history in the final weeks of the regular season. They currently have 73 wins on the season, and the all-time record for wins in a season for a Drillers team is 78 accomplished by the 1998 and 2019 squads led by managers Bobby Jones (1998) and Scott Hennessey (2019). The Drillers franchise is in its 49th season of play.
