VANCOUVER, BC – Thursday’s scheduled postgame fireworks extravaganza at historic Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium has been canceled. With wildfires affecting countless British Columbians and Pacific Northwest residents on both sides of the border, the provincial government has declared a state of emergency and the resources required to safely put on the show are required elsewhere.
“As much as we love hosting postgame fireworks at The Nat for our fans every summer, we are keenly aware of the urgent need for first responders and other safety materials across the region,” C’s General Manager Allan Bailey said. “What’s more, we want to respect and support those affected by the fires as they navigate this trying time. Cancelling Thursday’s show is simply the right thing to do.”
The final fireworks show of 2026 is still scheduled for August 27, weather and climate permitting.
