
Visalia, CA – The Visalia Rawhide (54-77, 26-39) playing as the Central Valley Sir Loins fell to the Stockton Ports (61-70, 34-31) 4-2 on Saturday night at Valley Strong Ballpark.
A crowd of 2,189 enjoyed postgame fireworks as part of Fan Appreciation Night during the penultimate game of the 2026 season.
The Sir Loins took an early lead in the second. Paul Schoenfeld led off with a single and Pedro Blanco followed with an opposite field knock. Jack Spanier then drove in Schoenfeld on an RBI groundout.
Stockton took the lead in the third via a two run homer. They added two more runs in the sixth via a walk, error, single and sacrifice fly.
Pedro Blanco cut the lead to two in the seventh with a 457 foot solo home run that cleared the batter’s eye in center field. Blanco’s 18th home run of the season was also his 66th RBI of the year- the 3rd most this decade in a Rawhide single-season.
Visalia brought the tying run to the plate in the eighth and ninth innings but could not complete the rally.
The Sir Loin’s pitching was excellent on Saturday holding the Ports to just three hits. Ryne Nelson made an MLB Rehab appearance tossing a perfect first inning with two strikeouts.
Anderson Cardenas pitched three frames with just a hit allowed on two runs and three strikeouts. Daniel Nunez added two scoreless innings with a strikeout and Samuel Gonzalez pitched a perfect ninth inning.
Blanco led the Rawhide with two hits and extended his on-base streak to a team active high 13 games.
Visalia’s 2026 season comes to a close on Sunday at Valley Strong Ballpark with a Family Fun Sunday presented by Spirit Radio and Valley Children’s Healthcare.
The first 100 Tipper’s Kids Club members will receive a Gamer Jersey thanks to Valley Children’s Healthcare and the Allen Law Firm plus they can enjoy inflatables and a water slide in the Valley Children’s Kids Corral. All kids can participate in a postgame running of the bases.
Families can sign up their kids for Tipper’s Kids Club by visiting the Rawhide Ticket Office presented by Kaweah Health or by stopping by the ballpark’s guest services booth during a game.
Plus the ballgame is the Rawhide Readers Back to School party. Any Rawhide Reader participant who turns in a completed bookmark to the Rawhide Ticket Office will receive four free tickets plus a free hot dog and drink voucher.
Fans 21 and older can enjoy eight dollar margaritas and micheladas during Sunday’s game.
Gates open for season ticket holders at 10:45 AM and the general public at 11:00 AM with first pitch at 12:05 PM.
All Rawhide tickets are available through the team’s website and at the stadium box office starting at 10 AM on Sunday.
