PLAN AHEAD FOR UPCOMING HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION NEAR LMCU BALLPARK
Fans visiting LMCU Ballpark this week are encouraged to plan ahead due to an ongoing Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) bridge repair project on US-131 North at the overpass over West River Drive near LMCU ballpark.
The project is expected to impact traffic patterns and travel times to LMCU Ballpark during the upcoming homestand
To help fans arrive smoothly and make it to the ballpark in time for first pitch, we strongly encourage guests to allow extra travel time when heading to games and events this week.
While construction activity may cause delays near the stadium, all games and events at LMCU Ballpark will continue as scheduled. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, with gates opening one hour and 15 minutes prior to first pitch for every game.
While the West River Drive exit will remain open, fans who typically travel to LMCU Ballpark via US-131 North and the West River Drive exit are encouraged to plan an alternate route to West River Drive due to ongoing bridge repair, lane closures and potential traffic delays.
We also encourage fans to:
• Arrive earlier than usual
• Check traffic conditions before leaving
• Follow posted directional signage near the ballpark
• Monitor Whitecaps social media channels & text alerts for additional updates
Our goal is to help provide the smoothest possible game day experience for all fans attending games during MDOT’s bridge repair project.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important roadway improvement project takes place near the ballpark, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to LMCU Ballpark this week.
