Whitecaps Announce 2027 Game Times, Fireworks and Early Ticket Offers
Comstock Park, MI – November 4, 2026 – The West Michigan Whitecaps have announced their game times for the upcoming 2027 season, giving fans an early look at another summer of baseball, family fun, and unforgettable experiences at LMCU Ballpark. The ‘Caps will open the 2027 schedule on Friday, April 2, against the Lake County Captains at LMCU Ballpark.
The Whitecaps’ opener is scheduled for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch, with a postgame Farm Bureau Insurance Fireworks Show to kick off the season. The opening homestand continues Saturday, April 3, and Sunday, April 4, with 2 p.m. games.
The 2027 Whitecaps home schedule features 66 games against familiar Midwest League opponents, with a mix of traditional start times and a few new twists designed to give fans more ways to enjoy a summer at LMCU Ballpark. From a new 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon start in May to 7:05 p.m. Friday night games throughout July, the Whitecaps are mixing things up and offering fans some fresh opportunities to make memories at the ballpark. The regular season home finale is scheduled for Sunday, September 5, at 2 p.m. against the Fort Wayne TinCaps.

The 2027 Whitecaps home schedule offers plenty of opportunities for fans to make plans for summer, with a mix of evening games, weekend afternoons and special weekday matinees.
April gets the season started with 13 home dates, including the opening series against the Lake County Captains and a six-game homestand against the South Bend Cubs. Most weekday games feature 6:35 p.m. starts, while weekend games offer afternoon opportunities to catch the ‘Caps in action. Fans can also enjoy two special 12:05 p.m. weekday matinees on Thursday, April 15, and Wednesday, April 28.
May features 14 home games and kicks off with a new Saturday afternoon start, as the Whitecaps welcome fans to LMCU Ballpark at 4 p.m. on May 1. The earlier start gives fans a fresh way to enjoy a Saturday at the ballpark. The month also marks the return of Blue Cross Blue Shield School Days, with two 11 a.m. starts scheduled for Thursday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 26. Saturday night baseball returns to its familiar 7:05 p.m. start time on May 8, giving fans more opportunities to enjoy summer evenings at the ballpark, including postgame fireworks on all Saturday night home games.
June keeps the summer rolling with 12 home games, including six-game homestands against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Great Lakes Loons. Weekday games will start at 6:35 p.m., Saturdays at 7:05 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy a summer afternoon or evening at LMCU Ballpark.
July features a more limited home schedule, with just nine games at LMCU Ballpark. The Whitecaps welcome the Lansing Lugnuts and Fort Wayne TinCaps for a pair of exciting homestands starting July 16. Adding another change to this summer’s schedule, Friday night games in July will feature a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. With ballpark gates continuing to open at their regularly scheduled time, fans will have extra time to arrive, enjoy the atmosphere and take in additional entertainment planned along the concourse before those Friday night games. With fewer opportunities to catch the ‘Caps at home in July, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early!
August brings the return of the familiar summer schedule, with weekday games starting at 6:35 p.m., Saturday games at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday games at 2 p.m. The month features two six-game homestands against the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Great Lakes Loons, before the Whitecaps welcome the Fort Wayne TinCaps on August 31 for the opening game of their final home series of the season. September wraps up the schedule with the remainder of that series, culminating in the home finale on Sunday, September 5, at 2 p.m.
Fireworks will once again light up the sky above LMCU Ballpark with 20 postgame Farm Bureau Insurance Fireworks Shows throughout the season. The schedule begins with Opening Night on April 2, followed by fireworks after each of the Whitecaps' nine Saturday home games beginning May 8, plus 10 additional dates throughout the summer. The complete promotional schedule will be announced at a later date.
Fans won't have to wait until Opening Day to get their tickets. Individual game tickets go on sale Tuesday, December 1, but fans can score an early deal during the Whitecaps' “Better Than Black Friday” promotion. Available from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, the offer gives fans the opportunity to purchase Opening Day box seats for just $7.50 each.
