GRAND CHUTE, WI – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have announced the final harvest totals from the GreenStone Farm Credit Services Ballpark Garden at Neuroscience Group Field. This year’s growing season provided a yield of 130 pounds of tomatoes and squash for St. Joe’s Food Pantry of Neenah.
“GreenStone is proud to provide support for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers garden, an initiative that not only provides fresh produce but also promotes community engagement and enhances the well-being of its local communities," said Nicole Wesoloski of GreenStone Farm Credit Services.
The Ballpark Garden project began in 2014 with assistance from the Freedom High School FFA Chapter, members of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers front office, and the sponsorship of GreenStone Farm Credit Services. The Ballpark Garden has produced over 1,500 pounds of fresh vegetables to St. Joe’s Food Pantry since 2014.
“We’re proud that the Ballpark Garden continues to make a positive impact in our community year after year,” said Seth Merrill, Director of Business Development for the Timber Rattlers. “Thanks to our partnership with GreenStone Farm Credit Services and the support of the Freedom High School FFA Chapter, we’re able to provide fresh produce to St. Joe’s Food Pantry each summer and help support those in need throughout the Fox Valley. It’s a great example of how our team can make a difference in the community, beyond baseball.”
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers home opener for the 2027 is Tuesday, April 6 against the Beloit Sky Carp at 6:40pm.
