GRAND CHUTE, WI – Timber Rattlers Give Back, the official 501(c)3 of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, is donating over $20,000 to assist in the recovery of those affected by the tornado that swept through the Fox Cities on July 27.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent tornado in the Fox Cities and we are pleased to announce this donation to the Tornado Community Response Fund,” said Dayna Baitinger, Director of Community Relations for the Timber Rattlers. “Our fans helped us raise of $17,204 through our 50/50 raffle during our homestand at the end of July after we announced that proceeds from those raffles would go to tornado relief.”
“We are humbled by the outpouring of support from our fans for contributing to some of our largest raffles of the season to allow us to help so many of our fans, staff and business partners who were affected by this tragedy,” added Baitinger.
Additional donations have been made to Timber Rattlers Give Back to be earmarked for the relief efforts to bring the contribution to Tornado Relief to over $22,000.
The Tornado Community Response Fund is focused on “meeting the immediate and longer-term needs of community members affected and sustaining the organizational capacity of the groups doing the recovery and response work.”
The Timber Rattlers return to Neuroscience Group Field on Tuesday, August 18 to start a two-week homestand, their final twelve home games of the regular season. Tickets are available for the remaining home games are available at this link.
