The Washington Nationals recalled infielder/outfielder Matt Reynolds and selected the contract of catcher Jhonatan Solano from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday. Additionally, they placed catcher Miguel Montero on the paternity list and designated for assignment left-handed pitcher Enny Romero. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcements. 
Reynolds, 27, joins the Nationals for his first Major League assignment of the season as well as his first with Washington. He joins the Nationals after a strong Spring Training in which he hit .277 with two doubles, two homers, four RBI and 10 runs scored in 28 Grapefruit League games. Reynolds appeared in 115 games for the New York Mets over the last two seasons. His versatility has allowed him to appear at shortstop (31 G/20 GS), third base (30 G/11 GS), second base (12 G/5 GS), left field (8 G/5 GS), first base (3 G/1 GS), and right field (1 G/1 GS). 
 
Solano, 32, joins the Nationals for his first Major League assignment of the season. He has appeared in 43 Major League games across parts of three seasons. He has hit .184 with six doubles, two homers, 10 RBI, five walks and nine runs scored between Washington (2012-13) and Miami (2015). 
 
Romero, 27, appeared in 55 games for the Nationals since joining the club prior to the 2017 season. He went 2-4 with two saves, 10 holds and a 3.90 ERA.
