Nats sign infielder Sizemore to Minors deal

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals signed infielder Scott Sizemore to a Minor League deal with an invitation to Major League Spring Training on Friday.

This season, Sizemore spent time in the Marlins' and Nationals' Triple-A affiliates and hit a combined .263 with three home runs and 25 RBIs.

Sizemore, 30, has big league experience with the Tigers, A's and Yankees. His best year was 2011, when he split time with Detroit and Oakland. That year, Sizemore hit a combined .245 with 11 home runs and 56 RBIs. He missed all of the 2012 season and most of the '13 season because of a knee injury.
