Brosnan to depart MLB in January

Tim Brosnan, Major League Baseball's Executive Vice President, Business and CEO of MLB Enterprises, will depart from MLB at the end of January 2015, it was announced today.

Brosnan joined MLB in 1991 as Vice President, Business Affairs for MLB International. In 2000, he was named Executive Vice President, Business, a capacity in which he managed numerous day-to-day business functions for the Office of the Commissioner. His duties spanned areas that included broadcasting and media rights, licensing, corporate sales, marketing, special events, MLB International, MLB Charities and MLB Productions.

Baseball Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig said: "I thank Tim for more than two decades of dedicated service to Major League Baseball and our 30 Clubs. His efforts benefited many facets of our game and contributed to the prosperous state of the National Pastime today. I wish Tim nothing but the best of luck in the future."

Chief Operating Officer Rob Manfred added: "Tim has been a great colleague for many years, and I know he will enjoy the same success in his future endeavors as he did with Major League Baseball."
