Mets agree to terms with Bobby Parnell

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The New York Mets today announced the team agreed to terms with righthanded pitcher Bobby Parnell on a one-year contract.  

Parnell, 30, appeared in one game last year before undergoing surgery that ended his season. For his career, Parnell is 18-24 with a 3.57 ERA (122 earned runs/307.1 innings) and 36 saves in 299 games, eight starts.

The righthander was one of six arbitration eligible players for the Mets. Dillon Gee, Daniel Murphy, Lucas Duda, Ruben Tejada and Jenrry Mejia are the remaining five.
