Rangers agree to terms with INF/DH Mitch Moreland on one-year contract

Moreland had been last Ranger eligible for salary arbitration in 2015

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced tonight that the club has agreed to terms with infielder/designated hitter Mitch Moreland on a one-year contract for the 2015 season. No further terms were disclosed.

With this transaction, all Rangers eligible for salary arbitration in 2015 have agreed to contract terms.

Moreland missed the majority of the 2014 season following reconstructive surgery on his left ankle on June 23. He batted .246 with 2 home runs and 23 RBI in 52 games, including 44 total starts at first base (22), designated hitter (20), and left field (2). He owns a career .252 average with 65 home runs and 209 RBI over 494 major league games with Texas since his debut in 2010.
