Texas Rangers 2015 individual tickets to go on sale on Friday, February 27

Rangers announce 2015 Spring Training broadcast schedule

Arlington, Texas-The Texas Rangers today announced that individual tickets for all 2015 games at Globe Life Park in Arlington, except Opening Day will go on sale at 8:00 a.m. CT on Friday, February 27 at the Globe Life Park in Arlington First Base Box Office, at texasrangers.com, and by phone at 972.RANGERS. The start of the Individual Ticket On-Sale will be a day earlier than was previously announced in January.

As was previously announced, dynamic ticket pricing will be utilized in all individual seating categories for both non-Premier and Premier games. In partnership with Qcue, the leading provider of demand-based pricing software for live entertainment events, the Rangers will once again use Qcue's software analysis to set and adjust ticket prices higher or lower for each game in real-time based on market demand and factors such as pitching matchups, team performance, opponent, weather, and day of week. Dynamic ticket pricing will apply for all tickets except Children's tickets in the Upper Reserved and Grandstand Reserved categories. 

Registration for the Online Ticket Opportunity that will allow fans the chance to purchase tickets to Opening Day, Friday, April 10 against the Houston Astros is currently underway and continues through Wednesday, February 18 at 5:00 p.m. Fans can go to texasrangers.com/presale and register for the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets to Opening Day. Following registration, a pool of randomly selected registrants will be chosen and provided access to an online pre-sale opportunity, based on available inventory. Those selected will be notified by email no later than Monday, February 23. A limited number of reserved seats, obstructed view seating, and standing room only tickets will be included in the ticket opportunity. There is no charge to register for this opportunity. This will be the only chance for fans to purchase single game tickets for Opening Day at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Full and partial season ticket plans for 2015 are also on sale. The Rangers will hold a Select-A-Seat event for fans to view available season ticket seating locations at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Friday, February 20 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Available seats will be tagged in the park that day. Fans can enter Globe Life Park through the Southwest Airlines First Base Will Call Gate and parking is available in Lot B. 

RANGERS ANNOUNCE 2015 SPRING TRAINING BROADCAST SCHEDULE

The Texas Rangers will provide broadcast coverage on 25 spring training games in 2015. The complete schedule of television, radio, and webcast games was announced today.

A total of 12 spring training games will be televised. FOX Sports Southwest, which will carry all Rangers local television games in 2015, will broadcast four games beginning with the finale of H-E-B Big League Weekend on Saturday, March 21 versus the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Alamodome in San Antonio. TXA21 has eight spring telecasts that commence on Sunday, March 15 against the Milwaukee Brewers at Surprise Stadium.

The new radio home of the Rangers, 105.3 The Fan, will provide live coverage on 15 dates beginning with the Cactus League opener on Wednesday, March 4 versus the defending American League Champion Kansas City Royals at Surprise Stadium. A number of stations on the five-state Texas Rangers Network will also carry the spring broadcasts. An additional eight games will be carried via a free audio Webcast on texasrangers.com. The Rangers Spanish Radio home, ESPN Deportes 1540 AM, will carry the final two spring games on Friday and Saturday, April 3-4 against the New York Mets at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

RANGERS INVITE LHP MARTIRE GARCIA TO MAJOR LEAGUE SPRING TRAINING CAMP: The Rangers today announced that LHP Martire (pronounced mahr-tuh-RAY) Garcia has been invited to the club's 2015 major league spring training camp as a non-roster player. Garcia 24, combined to go 2-3 with a 2.59 ERA (12 ER/41.2 IP) and 40 strikeouts over 23 games/2 starts with Frisco (AA), Myrtle Beach (A+), and Round Rock (AAA) last season. The southpaw, who is on the Round Rock (AAA) roster, held opponents to a .203 average (30-148), including .200 (9-45) with 12 strikeouts by left-handed batters. He was signed by Texas as a minor league free agent on January 31, 2014 after five seasons (2007-11) in the Minnesota organization and two seasons (2012-13) in the Japanese independent leagues.

With the addition of Martire, the Rangers have 59 players on their spring training roster, including 19 non-roster invitees. Of that number, 32 are pitchers, including 10 non-roster invitees.
