Padres Caravan Hits San Diego County February 6-8

SAN DIEGO - Padres players, coaches, executives, broadcasters and staff will travel around San Diego County this weekend volunteering, meeting fans and visiting with our military and first responders prior to heading out to Arizona for Spring Training. The Padres Caravan gets underway Friday morning in conjunction with 2015 single-game tickets going on sale to the general public (9 a.m. at www.padres.com). The on-sale will be the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets to the 2015 Opening Series presented by Sycuan, including Opening Day (April 9), Opening Night (April 10), the first Baseball Night in San Diego (April 11), and Military Opening Day presented by Northrup Grumman (April 12). 

The first stop on the Caravan will be Mission Beach Park, where Padres players and staff will be joined by representatives from Toyota for the launch of the Padres Volunteer Team presented by Toyota.  This brand new community initiative is a county-wide volunteer force that calls upon Padres fans and San Diegans to join with our players, alumni and staff to donate their time to the San Diego community.

On Sunday morning, Padres players will be at San Diego American Little League in Logan Heights to hand out jerseys and caps to players as part of Future Padres powered by Clorox, the club's youth baseball jersey program. Now in its fourth year, Future Padres will outfit more than 15,000 youth baseball players across more than 50 leagues with Padres jerseys and caps in 2015.
