Orioles announce 2015 Spring Training Promotions and Special Events Schedule

The Orioles today announced their 2015 spring training promotions and special events schedule featuring many fun-filled promotional giveaways and events for fans to enjoy at Ed Smith Stadium.

On Wednesday, March 4, all fans will receive an orange rally towel as well as a spring training magnet schedule, presented by Visit Sarasota County, as the Orioles celebrate their spring training Opening Day and sixth season at Ed Smith Stadium. In addition, the first 1,000 women will receive a Bird of Paradise flower, presented by Beneva Flowers.   

The giveaways continue on March 5 when the first 3,000 fans 15 and over to enter the ballpark will receive an Orioles Clothing Hanger, presented by Hung-By. On March 11, SRQ Airport will sponsor an Orioles Luggage Tag to be presented to the first 3,000 fans 15 and over. The final item, a Plush Cow presented by Chick-fil-A, will be given to the first 3,000 fans on March 14.

In addition to the giveaways, fans will enjoy several special events at Ed Smith Stadium throughout spring training including Kids Run the Bases, presented by Schofield, Hand & Bright Orthopaedics, on March 14 (for all fans 14 and under) and Seniors Run the Bases on March 25 (for fans aged 55 and over). The Orioles will also host Go Green Day, presented by Waste Pro, on March 17; a pre-game parade for Youth Baseball Day, presented by The Sarasota YMCA, on March 29; and the All Faiths Food Drive on March 31, when volunteers will collect food and monetary donations at the gates. Fireworks Night, presented by Coast Cadillac, will follow the spring training finale at Ed Smith Stadium on April 3.
