Pirates extend and enhance four key partnerships

The team welcomes back partners for 2015 season

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today they have extended four key partnerships for the 2015 seasons. The partnerships include elements focused on enhancing the fan and ballpark experience.

The renewals include:

  • FedEx Ground-- New for the 2015 season, FedEx Ground will be the presenting partner of the PNC Park Grounds Crew. The sponsorship includes FedEx Ground branded dirt drags, rakes and plastic buckets to be used by the grounds crew as they tend to the field. In addition, FedEx Ground will be providing tees to the first 20,000 fans on July 24 "Free Shirt Friday" when the Pirates host the Washington Nationals at 7:05 p.m. The Pirates partner will also add to the game day experience by presenting the scoreboard feature "FedEx Ground in the Community."
  • Sunoco-- The Pirates will again partner with Sunoco for the "Victory Row" promotion, offering fans an opportunity to win free gift cards to be used at any Pittsburgh area Sunoco station.
  • Waste Management-- The Pirates will continue to focus on sustainability initiatives as they partner with Waste Management to provide comprehensive waste and environmental services as well as the "Let's Go Bucs. Let's Go Green." sustainability campaign.
  • Consolidated Communications-- Consolidated will continue to provide phone and internet communications for 2015 season, as the Pirates are excited to provide enhanced connectivity throughout PNC Park for their fans in 2015. Consolidated Communications will receive signage throughout PNC Park and pre-game experiential opportunities to extend to their customers.

"We are excited to have extended all of these partnerships for the 2015 season," said Drew Cloud, Pirates Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. "It is an ideal partnership when we can find ways to enhance some of our fan experiences as well as create business solutions that work for our partners."

Included in their agreements for the upcoming season, FedEx Ground and Sunoco receive signage around PNC Park as well as radio inventory on the Pirates Radio Network broadcasts. The Pirates Radio Network consists of 40 stations throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.
