D-backs set single-game attendance record at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick

D-backs also set single-day attendance record at Salt River Fields

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks announced that today's sold-out crowd of 13,032 set the single-game record for Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. It is the second time in a span of a week that the D-backs have set a single game attendance record. The previous record was 12,976 set on Sunday, March 8 vs. the Giants.

The D-backs also set a single-day attendance record with a combined total of 25,996 fans at Salt River Fields today. The doubleheader recorded a crowd of 12,964 during the first game and 13,032 for the second game.

The award-winning facility, now in its fifth season, has had 87 sellouts since 2011. Among the recent awards given to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is "Best Spring Training Facility" by Arizona Foothills magazine for the third consecutive year and "Best Culinary Event" honors by Arizona Foothills for the annual Arizona Taco Festival. It is also the first Spring Training facility to receive a gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Program.
