Orioles announce "Operation Orange" rallies for fans

The Orioles today announced dates for several "Operation Orange" rallies as the team prepares to open the 2015 season. The rallies will include Orioles giveaways, trivia and prizes, an appearance by the Oriole Bird, and an autograph session with a former Orioles player for an hour at each event.

The first "Operation Orange" rally will be held at the Official Orioles Team Store in the York Galleria Mall on Monday, April 6 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Orioles Radio Network affiliate WSBA Radio (910 AM) will be on site with their promotions team, and former Orioles catcher CHRIS HOILES will be making an appearance during the first hour. In addition, the Oriole Bird will be on hand during the second hour of the rally.

On Tuesday, April 7, Orioles fans can attend the second "Operation Orange" rally at Dempsey's Brew Pub & Restaurant at Camden Yards from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Former Orioles pitcher RICK KRIVDA will sign autographs for fans beginning at 6:00 p.m., and guests can enjoy specials on food and beverages before watching the Orioles play the Rays at 7:10 p.m.

The final "Operation Orange" rally will be held at the Autobahn Indoor Speedway on Thursday, April 9 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The rally also is sponsored by Autobahn Indoor Speedway, and former Orioles outfielder LARRY BIGBIE will be on hand to sign autographs during the second hour.

In addition to the first three rallies, an Orioles street team will travel around to various bars and restaurants in Canton and Fells Point passing out giveaways on Wednesday, April 8 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

The rally schedule will be capped off on Saturday, April 11 at the annual "Birds are Back" rally presented by Orioles Radio Network affiliate WTTR Radio (1470 AM) at the TownMall of Westminster. Orioles pitchers ZACH BRITTON and MIGUEL GONZALEZ and former Oriole LARRY BIGBIE are expected to attend and sign autographs for fans from noon to 1:00 p.m. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and will include an appearance from the Oriole Bird. 

The Orioles will open the 2015 season on the road vs. the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, April 6 at 3:10 p.m. The club's home opener is scheduled for Friday, April 10 at 3:05 p.m. vs. the Toronto Blue Jays.
