Red Sox Launch Spanish Website losredsox.com

Site Features Live Streaming Radio Broadcasts of Red Sox Games in Spanish and MLB Feature Stories and Videos

BOSTON, MA - The Boston Red Sox today announced the launch of a new Spanish-language website, losredsox.com, featuring game information and recaps, details about community programs, links for purchasing tickets, and information about events taking place at Fenway Park.

The website, created in partnership with Major League Baseball Advanced Media, will include Spanish translations of feature stories from MLB.com beat reporters, regular video interviews with Red Sox players, select segments of 'El Reporte De Los Red Sox,' the team's official weekly Spanish-language television show produced in partnership with Telemundo Boston and Red Sox Productions, and the latest headlines from around the league.

Red Sox Spanish Beisbol Network announcer Uri Berenguer is the play-by-play announcer for the site's live streaming radio broadcasts of Red Sox games.

"We are excited to engage fans through this new channel of communication," said Red Sox Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Development Adam Grossman. "With nine Spanish-speaking players on our active roster and a growing Spanish-speaking fan base in New England and around the world, creating a website that brings adults and children closer to the game is important to us."

The Red Sox are the 12th Major League Baseball team to have both a Spanish and English website.

In addition to this new Spanish-language website - which is an expansion of a webpage that originally debuted in 2011 - the Red Sox have also had Spanish-language Facebook and Twitter accounts for the past four seasons.
