Royals Announce That All Four Players Will Appeal Suspensions Handed Down Today

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 25, 2015) - The Kansas City Royals announced today that pitchers Yordano Ventura, Edinson Volquez and Kelvin Herrera as well as outfielder Lorenzo Cain will appeal their suspensions handed down by Major League Baseball earlier today for their roles in an on-field incident Thursday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Major League Baseball will meet with all four players in the near future to hear their appeal. Until the appeals process is completed, all four players remain eligible to participate in games.
