White Sox Charities launch 'Championship Giving' Campaign

Charitable Campaign Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary of the 2005 World Series Championship with Commemorative Items

CHICAGO - Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC) will honor the 10-year anniversary of the 2005 World Series Championship with "Championship Giving" - a commemorative fundraising campaign. Through the campaign, fans can support CWSC through donations at special levels honoring the 2005 season. With their donation, fans can receive everything from a 10-year anniversary lapel pin to a custom jersey with a 10-year anniversary patch.

"The 2005 World Series Championship is an important moment in White Sox history and our fans hold a special place in their hearts for that memorable season," said Christine O'Reilly, executive director of Chicago White Sox Charities. "Championship Giving is a way for our fans to relive those winning memories while also creating new memories of winning off the field. It's the perfect way for fans to honor the accomplishments of the 2005 team and give back to a great cause while receiving a special keepsake."

Championship Giving supporters can donate at www.whitesox.com/championshipgiving and receive a commemorative item in return for their generosity. Items will be earned on a cumulative basis of donation, meaning that the more fans give to CWSC through their campaign donation, the more collectible items they will receive.

Proceeds from the campaign benefit Chicago White Sox Charities. CWSC provides annual financial, in-kind and emotional support to hundreds of Chicago-based organizations, including those who lead the fight against cancer and are dedicated to improving the lives of Chicago's youth through education and health and wellness programs, and offer support to children and families in crisis. In 2015, Chicago White Sox Charities awarded nearly $1.77 million in grants and other donations. Recent contributions moved the team's non-profit arm to over $22 million in cumulative giving since its inception in 1990.
