BOSTON, MA - The Red Sox, who this year are "Calling All Kids," today unveiled a series of promotions in May designed for children and families at Fenway Park. The season-long theme is presented by Hood Milk, the official dairy of the Boston Red Sox.

Today, Monday, May 4, the club will host a "May the 4th be With You" event with characters from the popular Star Wars movies. Fans attending the 7:10 p.m. game against the Tampa Bay Rays will have an opportunity to take photos with Darth Vader, the Emperor, Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, a legion of stormtroopers, and various pilots and crewmen from the sci-fi series. Fans dressed in costume will be able to enjoy early entry into the ballpark (2 ½ hours before first pitch) through Gate C to watch batting practice.

On Tuesday, May 5, approximately 25 members of the 1975 American League Pennant Winners will reunite in a celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the memorable season whose penultimate game remains one of the greatest in baseball history. All fans attending the game will receive a Carlton Fisk bobblehead, presented by The Sports Authority.

On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, moms and their families are invited to walk around the warning track from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., presented by Bank of America. Wally the Green Monster and his mom, Wanda, will engage children. Face painters, stilt walkers, and caricature and balloon artists, will also entertain children. All are welcome to enter Fenway Park at Gate C.

On Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, Red Sox season ticket holders are invited to take batting practice on the field. This is the fourth year in a row the club has offered this opportunity to season ticket holders.

As part of the 40th anniversary celebration of the 1975 American League Pennant winning team, Luis Tiant bobbleheads, presented by Granite City Electric, will be given to all fans attending the Red Sox-Rangers game on Thursday, May 21.

On Sunday, May 23, Wally the Green Monster, who emerged from the Green Monster in 1997, but who is ageless, will have a birthday celebration for kids in Wally's Clubhouse - located off the new Kids Concourse inside Gate K (for Kids). Wally's birthday will take place from the 3rd through 7th innings of the Red Sox-Angels game, which begins at 7:10 p.m. While the event is designed for kids, fans of any age may attend the party.

To conclude May's home games, kids are invited to come down on the field and run the bases after the game against the Angels, Sunday, May 24. The game begins at 1:35 p.m.
