Mariners select RHP Mark Lowe from AAA Tacoma
Outfielder Julio Morban placed on restricted list
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced that the club has selected right-hander Mark Lowe from AAA Tacoma and placed OF Julio Morban on the restricted list.
Lowe (#57) will be in uniform for tonight's game vs. the Angels.
Lowe, 31, was 0-1 with a 1.00 ERA (1 ER, 9.0 IP) with 11 strikeouts in 7 appearances with AAA Tacoma. He signed a minor league contract with Seattle on Dec. 18, 2014. This will be his second stint with the Mariners after spending parts of 5 seasons with Seattle (2006-2010). In 2014 he appeared in 7 games with Cleveland, allowing 3 earned runs in 7.0 innings.
Morban, 23, left the team for personal reasons. He has appeared in 19 games with AAA Tacoma and AA Jackson, combining to hit .194 (12x62) with 7 runs, 1 double, 2 triples, 1 home run and 7 RBI.
