Royals reinstate Luke Hochevar from 15-day D.L., option Brandon Finnegan

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Luke Hochevar from the 15-day disabled list for today's 1:10 p.m. game against the Cleveland Indians. In a corresponding roster move, the Royals have optioned left-handed pitcher Brandon Finnegan to Northwest Arkansas (AA).

Hochevar, 31, missed the entire 2014 season after having "Tommy John" surgery during Spring Training. He was one of the best setup men in the American League in 2013, ranking third in opponents' batting average (.169), sixth in ERA (1.92) and tied for sixth among A.L. relievers with 82 strikeouts.
