Twins Place Robinson on Family Emergency List, Recall Hicks

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Shane Robinson on the Family Emergency List.

To replace Robinson on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled outfielder Aaron Hicks from Triple-A Rochester. Hicks played in 27 games for the Red Wings, hitting .336 (36-for-107) with 10 doubles, four triples, two home runs, 14 RBI, 21 runs scored and 15 walks for the Red Wings. Hicks will join the team in Detroit and be available for tonight's game against the Tigers.

Additionally, right-handed pitcher Tim Stauffer will begin a rehab assignment tonight with Triple-A Rochester. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list May 1 (retro April 30) with a right intercostal strain.
