Royals recall Aaron Brooks, option Yohan Pino

The Kansas City Royals today recalled right-handed pitcher Aaron Brooks from Triple-A Omaha. In a corresponding roster move, right-handed pitcher Yohan Pino has been optioned to Omaha.

Brooks, 25, started five games for the Storm Chasers, compiling a 3.51 ERA and 35 strikeouts to nine walks in 33.1 innings. He appeared in two games last season for Kansas City. Pino, 31, pitched 3.1 innings in last night's game at Texas, his sixth appearance over two stints with the Royals.
