Pirates to host women's baseball clinic at PNC Park

Participants Will Receive Baseball Instruction from Pirates Coaches

The Pittsburgh Pirates will host their fifth annual Pitch for Hope Women's Baseball Clinic, a baseball skills workshop, on Sunday, June 14. Women ages 14 and older are invited to PNC Park for a day of baseball specific events in support of A Glimmer of Hope, a Pittsburgh-based breast cancer research organization funding local breast cancer research since 1996.

The baseball instructional clinic with Pirates coaches will take place on the field from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will give participants the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of pitching, hitting and fielding as they visit different workshop stations set up around the field. The morning event is made possible with the support of Highmark, Coca-Cola, Rue 21 and the Allegheny Health Network.

The cost of the clinic is $80 per person and following the morning event, each participant will have the chance to enjoy a catered brunch in the PNC Park Smorgasburgh area and stay for the Pirates game at 1:35 p.m. vs. the Philadelphia Phillies. Registration includes a Lower Outfield Box ticket to the afternoon game and each ticket includes $10 of Loaded Value, good for concessions and merchandise throughout PNC Park. In addition, all participants will receive a complimentary specially designed t-shirt. Guest tickets are available for $60 and include brunch, $10 in loaded value and the game.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are proud to partner with Glimmer of Hope on this fun and educational initiative. For complete information and to order tickets visit pirates.com/pitchforhope or call Angela Criscella at 412-325-4798.
